Dear Colleagues, I am honored to accept such a distinguished position as the Rector of Boğaziçi University. I consider my new post not only a role of leadership, but a way to pay my debt to Boğaziçi University, which has greatly contributed to my growth both academically and personally from the moment I stepped into our campus back in 1994. My main mission is to carry our university further in education and research promoting an innovative approach in every field of teaching. In doing so, we will work hard to meet the requirements of visionary academic and strategic planning towards sustainable excellence while establishing a close connection to the needs and aspirations of the University community. That is how we can contribute to our country and the world.
