At Boğaziçi University, a traditional academic gowning ceremony was held for faculty members who were promoted in academic rank and for those who newly assumed their positions. During this meaningful ceremony, which symbolizes the University’s long-established academic tradition, faculty members donned their gowns and officially began their academic duties.

Held at Boğaziçi University’s South Campus, the ceremony was attended by a large number of faculty members, academic and administrative administrators, and members of the University community. While the academic values of Boğaziçi University were highlighted together with its scholars who contribute to science, the ceremony turned into a special gathering for both newly appointed faculty members and those who received academic promotions.

Delivering the opening speech, Rector of Boğaziçi University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Naci İnci emphasized the importance of academic life and stated: “Today, we have come together for the gowning ceremony of our esteemed faculty members who have newly joined us and those who have been promoted in academic rank. I congratulate all our faculty members participating in this ceremony and wish them continued success.”
